Remembrance

Forty years ago I was studying in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg, USSR when Apollo 11 was launched. I was still there in a dorm at Leningrad Polytechnic Institute when they landed. This is what it is all about...Raise a glass.

Thanks for visiting. This is an international development and foreign policy centric blog (mostly). We are not entirely on anyone's side, because no one is entirely on our side. We are (mostly) neither partisans nor sycophants (we can, however, be provoked). Also, unlike many politicians and experts, we are willing to change our minds in light of new facts or situations. Call this our survival instinct.
We welcome questions and, aside from a registration requirement, anyone can comment. However, the blog is moderated and unprofessional behavior will not be tolerated.
